How does Bluetooth work?

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that uses low-energy radio waves to send wireless data between Bluetooth-enabled devices. It's similar to Wi-Fi in that it operates over radio waves. However, Bluetooth can work between any two enabled devices and does not require additional network equipment such as routers or modems, making it a popular choice for sending data between mobile electronics over close ranges.

How does the Elika Bluetooth App work?

With easy an set up process, installing has never been more convenient (See App installation steps at the bottom of article). The Bluetooth App also has enhanced guest access, you can now send Elika Keys to your guests with time and access zone limits all through the Elika Cloud. Once they get in proximity of the system, their smart device will be recognized and your Elika unit will allow entry without the smart phone being removed from their pocket. 

We have made it convenient and have everything you can ever need at your finger tips such as: viewing all history of incoming and outgoing visitors, add/delete codes, Smart Keys or users, specific start-time and end-time and manage multiple systems, all in one place.

For the installation of Bluetooth Feature, follow these 6 steps:

1. Simply place the new module on your existing Elika 460, add the antenna that comes with it and you are ready to pair your phone to the system.

2. Download the Elika BLE V1 App

3. Login to the Elika Cloud and go to BLE module.

4. Follow the steps on the guide placed in the BLE module box for setting up the module the first time.

5. Once the module has been set up, go to a user and generate a BLE code.

6. Use that BLE code in the app and pairing is complete.

Elika Access 92 vs. Doorking 1812 Access Plus

 

 

In comparison, the Elika 92 surpasses the 1812 Access Plus. As delineated above, the 92 model has 20x the memory of the 1812. In terms of software and application, the 1812 Access Plus requires the Access Plus Account Manager software on a PC. With this program you can receive reports via the internet. In contrast, the Elika 92 requires no software installation on a computer, only a web based management application is required, which will allow you to log on from any computer or smart device. Doorking’s 1812 Access Plus also requires a direct phone line whereas with the Elika 92, you can connect wirelessly via BLE (Bluetooth) and Wi-Fi technology. With access to a smart device, you can download the Elika BLE App and grant access to anyone with Elika Keys. These Smart Keys can be sent to an unlimited amount of guests and when these guests get in proximity of the system, their smart device will be recognized and the Elika 92 will allow automatic entry. You can customize time and dates with Elika Keys as well as receive pop-up notifications of access granted, access denied, and many more alerts. With the Elika App, you can also view and have two-way conversations through the 92’s HD Video Camera. This camera comes equipped with intelligent motion sensor technology, detecting all incoming visitors before they knock on your door, and a built-in infared sensor that captures images at night. With optional cloud storage, the Elika 92 can record all the HD videos you wish. In terms of aesthetic and specifications, comparing these two is like comparing a rotary dial phone and a touch screen smart device. Elika Access Systems has stepped up the telephone entry system game and will definitely transcend the market. Release date is expected to be in June.
